Colored torches that each stop a specific category of mobs from spawning within a configurable radius — plus a rainbow Master Torch that blocks them all.
Each torch handles one group of mobs. Place them on the floor or mount them on a wall — they light up, glow in the dark, and keep the wrong things from spawning near your base, farms and builds.
Hostiles, animals, phantoms & bats, guardians, the Warden, iron golems, wandering traders, fish & squid.
Per-category horizontal radius and vertical range (a cylinder). Set a type to 0 to disable it.

Craft a Nether Star Block (9 nether stars), surround it with all eight category torches, and get one rainbow-flamed torch that blocks everything at once. Its particles cycle through the whole spectrum.
Player-initiated spawns (spawn eggs, breeding, buckets, player-built golems…) are always allowed — only unwanted natural spawns are stopped.
